Lights, camera, action! Fashion show photography is where two of my great loves come together: fabulous fashion and meeting interesting people.
The world of fashion is where extravagant clothes, phenomenal makeup and beautiful people culminate. Photography in this field requires versatility. Calling for one to capture establishing event shots, backstage close-ups, and models mid-stride on the runway. It is also crucial that the mood of the event, as well as each designer’s vision, are adequately portrayed.
It is an honour to shoot SA Fashion Week which takes place twice a year. Every show is more exhilarating than the last. South Africa’s design talent is outstanding and among the globe’s finest.
I relish the buzz at fashion shows. Each event captivates me, and I allow my fascination with fashion and the incredible minds behinds each garment to inspire me. My aim is that every image depicts the correct of the moment or the awe of each intricate detail.
